You haven’t heard from me for over a week, because I was preparing for, and hosting the “1-2 Punch Field Trip” here at my home this last weekend.

19 of the most incredible business owners and entrepreneurs from around the country flew to Seattle, and then made the 60-mile drive to Arlington (in the pouring rain), so they could spend two days at my home.

Talk about a humbling experience.

Two of my own long time mentors (Joe Polish and Michael Cage) were also here for the event.

Some of the other attendees included:

Garrett Gunderson, author of the New York Times best seller, “Killing Sacred Cows”.

Sean Stephenson, who just had his show, “3 Foot Giant” air on the Biography Channel.

Kendra Todd, who was Donald Trump’s first female Apprentice winner.

Like I said, it was a truly humbling experience.

Yes, I got to share my knowledge, but I also learned a lot from everyone in the room.

More importantly, I made some new connections that will lead to some really BIG things.

At a time when the media has very little good news to report, it’s great to know that there are some incredible people in this world, who are doing incredible things.

My multimedia guy recorded the entire event, and I can’t wait to check out the videos over the Holiday Season.

My good friend Brett was also on hand.

He recorded 45 clips of the event on his Flip Video Camera.

I haven’t even had a chance to look at them yet, but will do so over the Thanksgiving weekend.

From October 22-26 I was in Phoenix, Arizona for Matt Furey’s mastermind meeting.

While there, I shot this little video for you.

There’s several reasons why I’m thankful for opportunities like the one depicted in this video.

1. I get to spend time with some of the most awesome people on the planet.

2. I got out of the rainy weather that Seattle is so well known for this time of year.

3. I got to stay at an incredible resort and bask in the sun for a few days.

4. I took Lisa and Brock along for the trip. Since she’s originally from Phoenix, she was able to visit with family and friends while I was at the mastermind meeting.

5. I discovered some great new marketing tools so I can take my business to the next level.

6. The WHOLE trip was 100% tax deductible.

How’s that for having a business that fits perfectly into your lifestyle?

Fact is, it just doesn’t get any better than this.

If you’re not taking advantage of all that I have to offer, so you to can have a business like this, the only question I have is – “What in the heck are you waiting for”?

Having an office in your home is GREAT (and certainly convenient), but it does pose a few challenges.

This is one of them.

On another note, I just got back home from Atlanta.

While I was there, I had the opportunity to meet Emma Sargent, who’s one of my clients.

Imagine my surprise when I received an email from her this afternoon.

Here’s what she had to say.

“Now that we’re back home I just wanted to say how lovely it was meeting you in Atlanta. You were extremely generous with your time and you are such a genuinely kind person”.

This kind of thing makes my day, and let’s me know that I have something worthwhile to offer.

And that’s what it’s all about.

Now go out there and make it happen.

I’ve been doing what I do, and coaching entrepreneurs for a long time now.

In that time, I’ve heard many stories of adventures and misadventures in business.

There’s no doubt – everyone who’s ever succeeded in business has gone through a long list of mistakes before they ever figured out how to make their business a success.

And that’s where I come in.

Yes, I too have made my share of mistakes.

Truth is, I’ve made a TON of mistakes, and that’s precisely why my business is so successful.

The key is in understanding that mistakes are a good thing.

Making mistakes is how we learn.

Making mistakes is how we make discoveries.

Making mistakes leads us to HUGE breakthroughs.

But…

That being said, if you can get help from someone who’s already been there, and done that, and in the process you’re able to bypass many of these mistakes – that’s a VERY good thing.

And that’s where I come in.

Because I’ve already made every conceivable mistake in my 13 years as a business owner, I’m able to point out the landmines so you can avoid them.

For example:

My original website at GetMoldSolutions.com has been making $7,000.00 to $10,000.00 a month on auto-pilot since the year 2001.

Now that’s a pretty respectable income, especially when you consider the fact that it only requires about 4 hours of my time each month to manage this business.

But, in order to remain open and candid, I’ve got a confession to make.

I made one crucial mistake with this business, which at his point, is impossible to fix.

I’ve since shown many other people how to avoid this mistake, and in doing so, they were able to make FAR more than the $7,000.00 to $10,000.00 a month that I make with my original website.

And yes, I too have gone on to create other websites that produce multiples of these figures.

So the big take-away for you is this:

Mistakes are a GOOD thing.

They’re a very good thing.

But it’s also good to avoid the biggies that I’ve already made.
