Steve Jobs… Master Story Teller

For the last few days we’ve been talking about story telling, and why it’s so important.

And there’s no doubt, when it comes to storytelling, Steve Jobs is a MASTER at it.

Take a look at the video above and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Notice how he gets the audience involved and excited.

Hmmmmm…

You think he sold any of these things?

tell me more about storytelling and your story and how I can create and publish my own compelling story which inspires prospect action to become a consumer and make the buy.

It’s amazing to see someone like this guy that has changed the the world so many times in my lifetime.
For as stories, my 9 year old has to read and make brief summaries four nights a week as part of his home work. He has an good grasp on what he reads but in writting it up he assumes every reader has read the same story also. At this point I ask him guided questions to help fill in the missing peices and convey the message and the main points of the story in an more complete and captivating way.
I’m assuming your course does the same thing for grown ups.

You’re not wrong Kevin. Note his pacing. His reveals. Very like a magician’s.
(Nb, I worked with Steve while I was at Apple.)

  6. Great example. I’ve never seen Job’s iPhone launch ’story’ before. Thanks!

BTW: Speaking of stories; I’ve heard you tell your story several times, Kevin. It actually becomes more powerful each time I’ve heard it.

He knows… He knows how to create suspense, curiosity and interest… Uses pictures, vivid design, repetition, voice ton to create a climax. He really knows how to relate with his product and make it appealing to his audience. A real pro in action and he doesn’t need to use HYPE WORDS to pass the message. Thanks for sharing that moment.
