Motivation or Inspiration

I’ve been reading the latest book by Dr. Wayne Dyer, in which he shares some incredible insights that most people never think about.

Most folks mistakenly think that motivation is the key to success, and if they don’t have motivation, they’ll never be successful.

Yet Dr. Dyer has blown that theory out of the water.

Here’s a quote from his book that will give you pause:

“If motivation is grabbing an idea and carrying it through to an acceptable conclusion, then inspiration is the reverse.

When we’re in the grip of inspiration, an idea has taken hold of us from the invisible.

Something that seems to come from afar, where we allow ourselves to be moved by a force that’s more powerful than our ego.”

This quote hit me like a ton of bricks.

You see – I’ve always been a motivated person.

But, I have NOT always been an inspired person.

And there’s a HUGE difference between the two.

Motivation will take you a long way in life, and in business.

But the fact is, inspiration will take you a lot further.

And…

It will make the process MUCH more enjoyable.

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about.

I recently began hosting a live training series called “The Insider’s Roadmap to Information Marketing”, and there are 21 people taking part in the program.

When I originally began thinking about this project, it really got me excited.

As I write this, we have 3 training calls finished, with 3 more to go, and my excitement level is higher than ever.

As you can imagine, all the participants can sense my enthusiasm, and this passion has been transferred to each one of them.

After the first training call, I got the following email from one of the participants:

Kevin,

I have to say, after hearing all the strategies
you revealed on last week’s call, I already got
my investment in the program back, and much MORE.

That one call was worth the entire investment in
the training program.

I’ve already implemented the strategies you gave
us and I’m anxiously awaiting the next training
call so I can continue moving forward with my
information business.

I’ve invested in a lot of stuff in the past, but
I’ve never met anyone like you who delivers so
many tested and proven strategies in an easy to
understand format that makes it so simple to
implement for those of us who are just starting
out

Sincerely,
Dean Brunson

As you read what Dean had to say, you can literally feel his excitement.

Needless to say, this makes me want to deliver even more value to Dean and the rest of the participants in this program.

And that my friend is called INSPIRATION.

So let me ask you – What inspires you?

What if you could have a business that pays you for doing something you love so much, that you wouldn’t mind doing it for free-ola?

Would that inspire you?

Would that excite you?

Of course it would.

And let me tell you, when you’re inspired, you’ll naturally be motivated as well.

I’ll be back on Monday with yet another example for you.

Have a great weekend, and I’ll talk with you then.

Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson
