Starbuck’s Slight Edge

When you’re in business for yourself, you’re always on the lookout for the slight edge.

Because the fact is, that’s all you need in order to dominate your competition.

When you have the slight edge, your competitors don’t stand a chance.

Case in point – Starbucks.

There’s no doubt that Starbuck’s is a MAJOR player when it comes to coffee.

Not too long ago, they announced a customer rewards program that completely bombed.

Yes, it was a miserable failure.

After asking for feedback from their customers, the smart execs at Starbucks discovered that the rewards program was confusing,

Taking the feedback they received, the program was reintroduced, and the second time around, it was a huge success.

The slight edge that Starbucks possessed in this case, was the fact that they were humble enough to listen to their customers.

And the truth is, that’s not a slight edge. That’s a monstrous edge.

Most business owners don’t take the time to actually listen to what their customers want.

They’re continually trying to sell, sell, sell – instead of giving their customers what they naturally want to buy.

If you want to be successful in business, you’ve got to understand that people hate to feel like they’re being “sold”.

But…

They love to buy.

Your job is to figure out what your customers want to buy from you, and then give it to them.

Dedicated to your success,
