Every time we turn on the boob tube, the media is telling us that economy is going down the toilet.
They want us to be in a state of shock and panic, believing that what they’re telling us is the truth.
They want you and I to crawl into our cave and wait out the storm.
But…
What they ain’t telling you is this:
There are PLENTY of people making MAJOR hay right now.
That’s right.
There are many of us who take what the media says with a grain of pepper.
Why?
Because we’re in control of our own destiny.
We’re in control of our own lives.
We’re in control of our own financial situation.
The media is NOT.
And the funny thing is – it doesn’t matter whether the economy is booming or not.
You will always hear people whining and moaning about how bad things are, how they can never get ahead, and how they can never catch a break.
But the fact is, it ain’t the state of the economy that causes people to think this way.
People like this bemoan their lot in life even when the economy is booming.
Your lot in life is determined not by the state of the economy, but by the “state of your mind”.
I learned this lesson a long time ago from my mentor Matt Furey, and let me tell you, it’s one I’ve NEVER forgot.
Yesterday, I told you that September 2008 was going to be my best month EVER.
And the reason for that is because I believed that it would be – even in spite of what we hear on the boob tube.
Let me give you an example of what I’m talking about.
When it comes to having a business online, many people immediately say, “I could never do that. For crying out loud, I don’t even know how to set up a website. Not only that, technology scares me”.
By saying this, you’ve immediately set yourself up for failure.
The “state of your mind” is telling you that you can’t be successful.
I used to be this way myself, and I can assure you that nothing good ever came of it.
Now days, whenever I want to accomplish something, my mind immediately goes to work and I ask myself, “How can I find the people or resources that will allow me to reach my intended goal”?
So…
