Expect The Unexpected

Last Monday night at 10:01pm, my flight arrived at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

I’d taken a short 2-day trip to Los Angeles so I could get together with my good friend Sean Stephenson and his dad Greg (Sean’s the one in the wheelchair above).

I went on this trip for a specific purpose, yet I came home with far more than I ever expected.

While in LA, Sean introduced me to a few of his friends, and let me tell you, he’s got some INCREDIBLE friends.

On Sunday morning, we went to the Santa Monica Farmers Market for some great food.

And that’s where we met up with Sean’s friends.

We spent the better part of the day relaxing in the sun, eating great food and having some incredible conversations.

Talk about an experience.

As I was on my flight home, I couldn’t help but think of a goal that I’d written down several years earlier.

That goal was – to spend quality time with inspirational people on a regular basis.

And today, I’ve FAR exceeded that goal.

Not only do I spend quality time with inspirational people on a regular basis – I get compensated for doing so.

And the interesting thing is, I do it without effort.

If you joined us for the recent Lifestyle-Business Blueprint event, you heard me talk about this.

I’ve designed my entire life this way.

I’ve designed my entire life so that my business and my personal life are integrated.

As a result, my business is a natural extension of the person I am, and the way I see myself interacting with other people.

So let me ask you…

What would it be like if you had the same thing?

What would it be like if you had a business that fit in perfectly, and provided you with the kind of lifestyle that you truly wanted to live?

What if you were the author of your own Lifestyle-Business Blueprint?

Because the fact is – there’s nothing standing in your way – other than the decision to have this kind of life.

Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson

I do not have a web site but this email touched me – Lately I’ve been on a pity me – I am a single mom of one and we have food on the table and I make it just barely pay check to paycheck with out much left over for any fun. After seeing the picture above and seeing him smile even though he is in a wheel chair and I have to legs to walk I guess I can look at things a little different and expect the unexpected. I will just have to look a little harder, work a little harder and smile a little more.

Thanks for the email and the picture

  2. Tell me something New and Exciting, that won’t compromise my principles and require a large financial investment. That still serves people.

    Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the inspirational story. I am working on successfully creating my life and business on what I enjoy, one baby step at a time. I have realized I have some financial hurdles to overcome, and I also have some loose ends that need to be tied, before I am able to jump in to the world of my dreams. I have been tapping and clearing out the old mindset. I am also surrounding myself with successful and inspirational material and people like yourself. It brings such joy to read about how other people are living their dreams, because that means I am capable of doing that too.

    Sincerely,

    Lori

Yes, you are quite right, Sean Stephenson is an incredibly inspirational person. I met him in person in Los Angeles in April 2008 where he was a guest of a one week seminar organized by David DeAngelo also known as Eben Pagan. He most likely does not remember me any more. I also agree with your philosophy of making your business an integral part of your personality.

I want to thank you for sharing this inspirational blog. I have spokrn with you previously on the phone. I thank you for talking with me. If I could vreate a business llfe that had the same interests as my personal life, it would include God, writing, learning new things, helping others understand relationship dynamics, how to survive when your world crumbles in all areas, cooking (one uf my greatest loves), and dogs. Tell me, pllease, as these are the things I love, what do I do with them? We all need encouragement and understanding. In the past 5 years, we have stood through the terrible deaths of both of my parents, as well as my husband’s boss to a rare brain cancer. We have helped our daughters through being sexually molested by close family members, as well as dealt with our own pain, grief, and anger. A close friend stole the only money we had, and created huge problems with our bank. We have faced alienation from my siblinas because of the estate and their greed. I lost my house last year, and we have moved 5 timea since then and are finally renting a house now. Our belongings were in storage uver two years! We had to shower and cook at a church at one place! Our cars need repair and the car we had left and shared quit yesterday and needs the trnsmission repaied. My son-in-law killed himself in june, and we have grieved while helping my daughter and grandchilden try to survive. My husband has been laid off since December-union mason-and we have had almost enough money to just survive. My point is not to relive all of this, but to show the reasons people can be broken for awhile, unable to move forward no matter how much they want to because they are so empty they are just trying to survive the day. I am getting stronger, but confuse myself easily about how to move ahead, start a business with no money and now no car until I find $1500 to fix the transmission, all the while still helping those I love when they need mr the most. Thanks for letting me share! No. I am NOT poor me.now. Rather I am how do I move forward from here?

Please forgive any typos on my previous reply. Writing on a cell phone with bifocal contacts does not work well at times!

Stories like these are really an inspiration, especially when I am having a pity party. Thank you for reminding me that I am blessed to be a blessing. My very existence isnt all about me, some other person’s joy depends on me. Thanks again.

    Hi Astrid,

    Thanks for the post.

Lisa’s due date is March 21st, so needless to say, my schedule is going to have to be VERY flexible this month.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.
